I'm a mathematician interested in topics related to computational algebraic geometry, algebraic statistics, distributed computing, and machine learning in general.
I am also a co-author of Mathematics for Sustainability, a textbook designed to be a general education requirement for non-STEM majors.
I am passionate about mathematics. Not only do I see the development of the subject as important, I also see public math education as crucial to the advancement of humanity. The problems at all scales of society--from global warming to personal development--are significantly more manageable when one uses mathematical frames of thinking.
